Fun Family Friday - Kindness Rocks
All ages welcome! Let’s spread some kindness!
We will be painting rocks and sharing them with our community. This painted rock, sometimes called a kindness stone, is simply a rock that someone has decorated with an inspirational message. Once you create one, the idea is to leave it somewhere for another person to find and enjoy. As we all know, sometimes a simple message of love and compassion can spark joy and brighten someone’s entire day.
We will be using acrylic paints, so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

· Increased calmness, clarity, acceptance, self-compassion and joy
· Reduced symptoms of loneliness for older adults
· Reduced blood pressure
· Strengthened immune system
· Greater focus and productivity
· Decreased emotional reactivity
Are you ready to learn more? Come exactly as you are and join us this summer at the YMCA Slate Belt.
Tuesdays: 7/2, 7/16, 7/30, 8/6
11:00am – 12:00 pm
Each 1-hour class will include:
· Guided mindfulness meditation practice
· Short talk on the practice theme of the day
· Q&A and group reflections
